Shakespeare Retreat

Italy 2021

Early June - dates to       be confirmed.

This will be the fifth year of our Shakespeare weekly retreat in Puglia, Italy. Each year we cover a different play in depth. This time it is the wonderful Othello.

We have a dynamic programme centred on a morning study group with further late afternoon study including film and exploration of some sonnets. There is a music evening on the top terrace under the stars and on the final night a magnificent, three-course meal is served. Every day, a delicious vegetarian lunch is provided.

The atmosphere around the Villa Sant' Annina is magical. All afternoons are free to enjoy the large swimming pool or to play on the tennis court, or simply fall asleep under one of the plentiful olive trees. The delightful, local town of Cisternino with it's large selection of restaurants, bars and shops is only five minutes away by car. The sea and a wide variety of beaches are twenty minutes away. There are lovely walks and bicycles can be hired.
