RICHARD ll

Course now completed. Audio recordings of all five sessions available for £20.

A chance to explore one of Shakespeare's greatest history plays. In it Shakespeare depicts the gulf that separates the man from his royalty and the terrible cost both he and England must pay as a result of his wasteful neglect and injustice.

Only finally in the solitude of his cell, the wealth of his new-found poverty of spirit seems to be revealed in his realisation that there can be no content for any man until 'he be eased with being nothing'.

This five-week course on Zoom (4.00pm - 5.45pm London time), over consecutive Sundays will reveal the pathos and tragedy of a soul ill-suited to the task of ruling both himself and his kingdom.
